The Samantha and Miles Brown Pediatric Cancer Research Fund

Your support and participation in the Fore The Kids Golf Outing is making an immediate impact to support pediatric cancer research work at Riley Hospital for Children and to ensure the best possible healthcare is always available to Indiana’s children; especially as it relates to pediatric cancer research.  In 2022, the Brown Family created The Samantha and Miles Brown Pediatric Cancer Research Fund to provide financial support toward Dr. Michael Ferguson’s pediatric cancer research work at Riley Hospital for Children and Indiana University School of Medicine.  Dr. Ferguson has an unwavering commitment to pediatric cancer research and saving children’s lives. And his research is groundbreaking and will create better treatment regimens and solutions to ending pediatric cancer. Most significantly, Dr. Ferguson, in collaboration with Dr. Karen Pollok and Dr. Reza Saadatzadeh used The Samantha and Miles Brown Pediatric Cancer Research Fund to develop additional treatments for patients with Wilms Tumor.  Given that Samantha had Wilms tumor, it was a natural fit to use The Samantha and Miles Brown Pediatric Cancer Research Fund for this groundbreaking research.
